Ruth M. (McGrath) Davey 85, of 76 No. Main St. formerly of Doris Drive, Abington and West Quincy died Monday (Aug19) in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center after an illness.

Her husband James H. Davey died in 1995. She leaves a daughter Patricia D. Prince of West Boylston, two grandchildren, Christine Prince and David Prince both of West Boylston, several nephews and nieces, inlaws and friends. Two brothers Philip McGrath and Joel McGrath and two sisters Lucy Baird and Mary "May" McGrath all predeceased her. She was born in West Quincy daughter of Philip and Anne (Donoher) McGrath.

A Funeral will be held Wednesday (Aug20) at 9:30a.m. from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church 95 Crescent St, West Quincy. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Quincy. Calling Hours are Tuesday (Aug20) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. (www.faybrothers.com). and on Wednesday(Aug21) from 8:30 to 9:30a.m. at Sweeney Brothers Home for Funeral 1 Independence Ave. Quincy.
