Ruth Menzigian

RUTLAND-Ruth (Jamgochian) Menzigian, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 15 in Notre Dame Long Term Care.

Her beloved husband of 54 years, Edward Menzigian died in 2020. She leaves a daughter, Nancy Reardon and her husband, Neal of Rutland; her cherished grandchildren, who affectionally called her Mimi, Tommy and Patrick; a brother, Sarkis Jamgochian and his wife, Sandy of Rhode Island; nieces and nephews, among them, her cherished niece, Annie Larue and her husband, Ronnie and her much loved dog, Louie. An infant son, Aram and a sister, Julie Manuelian predeceased her. She was born in Providence, RI, daughter of John and Mary (Hagoopian) Jamgochian and graduated from Cranston High School.

Ruth worked in food service at Worcester State College. She loved spending time with her family and friends and taking trips to the casino. But most of all she was so proud of her grandchildren and was lucky enough to be able to live with them for six years, before moving to Notre Dame in April of 2021.

The family would like to thank the staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care and Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

A Funeral Service for Ruth’s family and close friends will be held Tuesday, February 21, at Noon in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the activity fund at Notre Dame Long Term Care, 559 Plantation St. Worcester, 01605.
