Ruth M. Peterson

SUTTON- Ruth M. (Gullbrand) Peterson, 86, of Sutton, died Tuesday, January 22 in Oakwood Nursing Home, Webster. She leaves her husband of 64 years, H. Stanley Peterson; a son, Dean Stanley Peterson and his wife Amy of Millbury; a daughter, Donna R. Michelson and her husband Michael of Worcester; six grandchildren, Deanna Murray of Millbury, Leah Murphy of Oxford, Maura O'Connor of Millbury, Kimberley Bandola of Hillsborough, NJ, Keith Michelson of Auburn and Kelly Shaw of Sutton; eleven great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Dorothy Schonning and Lorna Hammerstrom, both of Worcester, several nephews and nieces.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Emil C. and Ellen (Johnson) Gullbrand and graduated from Commerce High School. She retired after many years from the Department of Agriculture. She was a longtime and active member of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and traveling. Ruth loved her home on Singletary Lake and especially enjoyed entertaining her family and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 10:00 AM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in All Faith's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held Thursday, January 24 from 9:00-10:00 AM in the funeral home.
