Samuel Tiako

Samuel Tiako, 71, passed away on June 30, 2023 at UMass University Medical Center.

He was born on January 1, 1952 in Bafang, Cameroon the son of the late Martine Ngandjui and Jacob Djiedjom. He worked for many years as a school teacher before retirement. He was a man of christian faith and attended the Adams Square Baptist Church. Samuel enjoyed reading and fellowship but most of all he loved spending time in his garden. He devoted much of his days tending to plants around the house sometimes until 10pm at night!

He leaves behind his loving wife, Collette Youngwa of Worcester; his sons, Leonel Tiako, Arnaud Tiako, Cyrille Tiako and Yvan Tiako; daughter, Mireille Tiako, Lolitha Tiako, Guilene Tiako; a brother, Michel Njikeutchi and a sister, Rosalie Emaleu; eight grandchildren (and two more coming soon!)

Family and friends will celebrate his life on Friday, August 18th at the Cultural Hall at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester. THE DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

* Viewing from 6:00 until 6:30pm

*Tributes and Church Service 6:30-7:30pm

*Testimonials 7:30-8:00pm

THE CASKET WILL BE CLOSED AT 8PM

* August 24th Arrival of the remains at the Douala Airport and departure to the village Bafang

* August 25th Church Service (tentative 8pm) and Night Celebration (tentative from 9pm)

* August 26th (tentative 9am) Departure of remains from the house to the church (EEC Bapoundeu)

                         (tentative 9:30am) Church Service

                         (tentative 10am) Testimonials

                         (tentative 10:30am) Departure of remains to cemetery (In family privacy)
