Scott G. Lavoie,54, passed away on Saturday, March 29, at UMass Memorial Hospital following a short illness. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Scott is survived by his parents, Alvin J. and Cecile C. (Dube) Lavoie of Westborough; his sister, Amy E. Lavoie, and her husband, Andrew C. Stangle, of Hudson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Born in Worcester, Scott graduated from West Boylston High School and went on to earn his degree from Babson College. He dedicated many years to his career as an accountant and managing a family- owned business, before facing health challenges. In addition, Scott was a participant in the Seven Hills Adult Program for several years, where he found joy and community. We are truly grateful for the support he found there and the people who mentored him over the years.
A true aficionado of music, Scott had a lifelong passion for The Beatles and Paul McCartney, attending numerous concerts over the years and proudly keeping every ticket stub as a cherished memory. He was also a devoted fan of New England sports, with a particular enthusiasm for the Boston Bruins. Dining out was one of his favorite pastimes, with the Manor in West Boylston holding a special place in his heart.
Scott had a very generous heart, never expecting anything in return. He was happiest spending time with family and friends.
A celebration of Scott's life is planned for a future date, with details to be announced. His legacy of love, warmth, and joy will continue to shine through the memories shared by family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations in Scott's memory may be made to Office of Advancement, Seven Hills Foundation, 81 Hope Avenue, Worcester, MA 01609. Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston is directing funeral arrangements.
