Sheila T. Shanley

WORCESTER-Sheila T. (O'Rourke) Shanley, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 23 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband Eamon Shanley passed away in 1982. She leaves two sons, Patrick J. Shanley and his wife, Joanne of Milford and Michael F. Shanley and his wife, Colleen of Worcester; three daughters, Mary A Foley, Sheila T. Boudreau and her husband, Steven and Deborah L. Shanley all of Worcester; her brother, Michael O'Rourke of Worcester; two sisters, Eileen Postale of Shrewsbury and Bridget Lyne of Worcester; thirteen grandchildren, two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. Four brothers, James, John, Joseph and Dennis O'Rourke and two sisters, Catherine Donohue and Mary Curtin predeceased her.

She was born in Currow, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland the daughter of Michael and Mary (O'Connor) O'Rourke. She worked as a nurses' aide for many years at Clark Manor Nursing Home before retiring. Sheila was a devoted Mother and Nana who will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

The funeral will be Monday, December 29 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 28 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
