Shirley A. Bavosi

WEST BOYLSTON-Shirley A. Bavosi, 75, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Damariscotta, ME, daughter of the late Amelia DePatsy and graduated from West Boylston High School and Worcester Girls Trade School. Shirl, as she was known to so many, was a hairdresser at Jean Paul’s Salon several years ago and was office manager for the family business, Wachusett Marking. She also worked in the West Boylston High School Cafeteria for several years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald J. Bavosi; three sons, Michael R. Bavosi and his fiancé, Lori, of West Boylston, Daniel J. Bavosi and his wife Colleen of Pomfret, CT and Joshua A. Bavosi and his wife Mary of Sterling. She also leaves seven beautiful grandchildren, Connor, Caitlyn and Nicole Bavosi, Talia and Fletcher Bavosi, Timothy and Nicholi Haase, and Joey Fitton, and her best friend and cousin, Donna Smith.

Shirl and Donald enjoyed spending time with each other and often visited the casino with Donna and Colleen. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and caring for her cats, most recently, Mack and Maya. Spending time with her family and friends playing a fun game of Yahtzee, with her sidekick and best friend, Donna.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 23^rd at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street. Visiting hours are 9:00 – 11:00 am immediately followed with a service at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
