Shirley E. (Penney) Fay

Worcester Shirley E. (Penney) Fay, 97, died Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the Life Care Center of Auburn.

She was born in Auburn, daughter of Lawrence J. and Ethel (Peterson) Penney and graduated from Auburn High School. Shirley worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Washburn House for many years. She belonged to the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Shirley was predeceased by her first husband, Russell Borgerson in 1991 and her second husband, Paul Fay in 1999 and her siblings, Lawrence C. Penney, Norman J. Penney  and Robert N. Penney, Ruth Ann Penney.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Borgerson of Leicester, and Douglas Borgerson of Spencer, three grandchildren, Eric Borgerson of Vale, CO, Terri Trovato of Charlton, and Lany Borgerson of Worcester. She leaves five great grandchildren, Kayla Hamilton, Kameron Murphy, Anthony Trovato, Nils Borgerson and Svea Borgerson.
