Sotiraq Glozheni

Sotiraq Glozheni, 92, of Chandler Street died Wednesday, April 19 in his home surrounded by his family.

   He leaves his wife of 64 years, Frica (xhai) Glozheni, a son Niko Glozheni and his wife Lydra of Worcester, a daughter Liliana Glozheni and her husband Vasil Dalani of Worcester, two grandchildren; Orson and Alexa Glozheni.  He was predeceased by a brother Kristaq Glozheni.

   Sotiraq was born in Dardha, Albania, son of Nikolla and Aleksandra (Pani) Glozheni.  He was an electrical engineer and foreign trade marketing and science research in telecommunications for many years in Albania.  He enjoyed reading and translating history books from English to Albanian, traveling and spending time with his family and friends especially his beloved grandchildren. He loved to spoil his daughters dogs with treats and riding his electric scooter.  He was a kind and giving soul and donated to the veterans faithfully.  One of his favorite hobbies was collecting and  telling short stories and anecdotes from all different cultures.

   Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, April 22 from 9:00-11:00 in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.   In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
