Stanley P. Bohdiewicz 79, of Worcester died Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Life Care Center of Auburn.
He leaves his wife, Catherine T. (Coughlin) Bohdiewicz; a daughter, Mary Ellen Bohdiewicz of Worcester; a son Michael F. and his wife, Cyndi Bohdiewicz of Monson; two brothers, John and Walter Bohdiewicz both of Worcester; three grandchildren, Sarah, Alan, and Kathleen Bohdiewicz all of Monson; and nephews and nieces.
He was born in Palmer, son of Stanley and Mary (Lukowski) Bohdiewicz. He graduated from Commerce High School, where he was a All Inter High School and All City Tackle in Football and a Track and Field star. He then graduated from the College of the Holy Cross where he was a standout Tackle for the Football Team, he then received his masters in education from Worcester State College. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II.
Mr. Bohdiewicz was a teacher for many years at Worcester Vocational High School, retiring in 1980.He was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church, a Golden Jubilarian of the Catholic Alumni Sodality of Our Lady of the Holy Cross, the Holy Cross Club of Worcester, and the Vernon Hill American Legion Post %23435.
A Funeral will be held Friday, Dec.12, from LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 1 Wiser Ave. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Thursday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to Saint Catherine of Sweden Church, 1 Wiser Ave. Worcester 01607.
