Stephen Jorjorian, 88, of Westborough, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away on February 15, 2015.

Stephen was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Annette M. (nee Hovenesian) Jorjorian. Stephen was a caring father of Steven Jorjorian (and Laura Gubernaut) of Woodstock, CT, John (and Chris) Jorjorian of Princeton, and Thomas Jorjorian of Smyrna, GA. He leaves six grandchildren: Andrea (Joe), Adam (Yvonne), Erika, Cherstin (Gene), Julia (Brian) and Luke; and eight great-grandchildren: Ella, Keira, Lyla, Nora, Isabelle, Ethan, Aubrey and Greenlee. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. An older sister, Margaret, and a younger brother, Henry, predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, son of Baba and Mary (Naman) Jorjorian. He attended North High School. He became an avid golfer and in 1941 won the Green Hill Golf Course caddie championship. In 1943 he enlisted in the US Navy where he served on the USS San Saba in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was among the first US sailors to enter Tokyo Bay at the conclusion of the war.

In 1956 he founded his own company, Advance Plating, which he operated for 50 years. He served two terms as president of the New England Electroplaters Society. He also spent many years as a member of the Masons, the American Legion and the Men's Guild of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour.

A Private Memorial Service will be held for family and friends. Arrangements are under the care of CALLAHAN FAY AND CASWELL FUNERA HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
