Suzanne A. Brown

LEICESTER

Suzanne A. (Robinson) Brown, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Wednesday April 27, 2011.

She leaves her daughter, Caroline J. (Brown) Moughan wife of Thomas P. Moughan of Leicester, her sons, William A. Brown Jr. of Scituate, and Mark R. Brown and his wife Kathleen (McCarthy) of Warwick, RI. She also leaves her grandchildren Keith M. Brown and his wife Tracy of Arnold, MD , Adam S. Brown of Harlem, NY and Sarah and Emily Moughan of Leicester, and one sister Ruth Anchetta of Maui, Hawaii. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years William A. Brown Sr. in the year 2000, and her four sisters Mary Green, Claire Buckley, Frances Connor and Elizabeth Beaudette.

She was born In Worcester, the fourth daughter of James and Mary (Pfau) Robinson. Suzanne graduated from South High School and from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse, specializing in geriatric care, retiring in 2005.

Suzanne was devoted to her family, her faith and her life's work as a registered nurse. She was a member of Christ the King Church, and the Massachusetts Nurses Association. She was an avid quilter, who enjoyed making handmade quilts for her family.

William, Mark and Caroline want to thank Umass Memorial Hospice and their team of extrodinary caregivers and Michelle Gaffney and Linda Dacri of Family Extensions 419 Grove Street Worcester, for giving our mother such amazing care.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 2 at 10 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be private in St. John's Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Following the Church Service family and friends are invited to the family home in Leicester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church 1052 Pleasant Street Worcester 01602 and UMASS Memorial Hospice Foundation P.O.Box 2795 Worcester, 01613-9938.
