Suzanne Kearns Browne 51, of 11 Tylee Ave. died Thursday (Oct.10) at home after a long battle wth melanoma cancer.
She leaves her husband of 23 years, James M. Browne Jr., a son, Seamus T. Browne of Worcester, a daughter, Caitlin E. Browne of Worcester, a step-son, Patrick C. Browne of Worcester, a step-daughter, Amy E. Browne of Watertown, her father, Raymond R. Kearns Sr. of Marblehead, a brother, Raymond R. Kearns Jr. of Marblehead, a sister, Sandra Kearns Bowen of Marblehead, many nephews and nieces. She was born in Salem, daughter of Ruth (Mahoney) Kearns. She graduated from Marblehead High School and Anna Maria College in Paxton.
She was a Social Worker for several Worcester agencies in the past. Most recently she worked as a Volunteer Adminstrative Assistant to the Director of Passionists Volunteers International.
She was a member and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, previously she was involved in local community theatre and had appeared in several roles produced by Central Mass. On Stage.
A funeral will be held Monday (Oct. 14) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home (www.faybrothers.com) 1 West Boylston St. West Boylston with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church 25 Fales St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Marblehead. Calling Hours are Sunday (Oct.13) from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cavalry Retreat Center 59 South St. Shrewsbury 01545
