Tammy-Lynn Macy, 62, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025, after battling a long illness.
She was born in Cambridge Massachusetts on November 21st, 1962, the daughter of William and Diana (Laycock) Macy. Tammy was raised in Hudson, MA and lived her entire life in Massachusetts, most recently in Uxbridge where she lived with her sister, Alicia. Tammy and Alicia lived together for nearly all of Tammy’s life.
Tammy graduated from Hudson High School and went on to college at Fisher College and graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College.
After working many years at Harvard Community Health in medical records, she left her career to care for her mother who became disabled. She was also a nanny and baby sat for several families. Tammy kept her mother close to extended family and assisted her with many activities including her artwork. Tammy also continued the family tradition of hosting large Thanksgiving dinners. It was her favorite holiday. After her mother’s passing, she went on to become a PCA continuing to support people who were disabled.
Tammy is survived by her father William Macy and his wife Paula, her brother Dale Macy and his wife Cynthia, sister Alicia Macy, and sister Kristin (Macy) Gargas and her husband Tony. She was predeceased by her mother, Diana, who passed away in 2015.
She was an aunt to four nieces and one nephew, Rachel (Macy) McKinney, Sarah (Macy) Joyce, Elizabeth (Macy) Smith, Diana Gargas, and Stephen Gargas, and was a great aunt to nine nieces and nephews.
Tammy loved children and her golden retrievers. She enjoyed spending time with extended family at Snow’s Pond in Rochester, MA. She also enjoyed seeing her friends and their children and shared in their accomplishments and special events. She also stayed connected with family, friends, and classmates on Facebook, as many do. Tammy was very creative and loved making crafts, cards, knitting and crocheting. She had made many baby blankets and gifts for her family over the years which remain treasured mementos.
The family invites you to join them for a Visitation on Sunday, May 4th from 1pm to 3pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston, MA.
