Theodore J. Kusy Sr. 77, formerly of Auburn, died Sunday, May 16, at his home.
He is survived by his wife Corinne M. (LaRose) Kusy; two sons, Theodore J. Kusy Jr. of Auburn and Gerald J. Kusy of Rutland; a stepson, Jerry Collette of Asheville, NC; four stepdaughters, Jacqueline M. Roughan of Worcester, JoAnne M. Kushi of Asheville, NC, Jeanne M. Aspero of Boylston and Joyce M. Emerson of Perry, GA; three brothers, Stanley Kusy of Worcester, Richard Kusy and Frank Kusy both of Auburn; three sisters, Ethel Sullivan of Millbury, Mary Rutkiewicz and Helen Kulig both of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He first wife Jeanette M. (Rutkiewicz) Kusy died in 1975 and his son David P. Kusy died in Vietnam in 1967. Three brothers, Chester Kusy, Emil Kusy and Edward Kusy, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Stanley and Mary (Krupa) Kusy. He was an Army Air Force Veteran of World War II.
Theodore was a serviceman for 40 years for the Commonwealth Gas Company in Worcester. He was a life member of the Auburn Sportsmen Club, a member of the American Legion, Paradise Post, the Moose Lodge #1429, the Elks Club and the Polish-American Veterans Club.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 5, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial of cremains will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Hernando-Pasco, 4422 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey, FL 34653.
