Worcester - Theresa (Courtemanche) Hamilton, 74, lost her valiant fight with cancer, surrounded by family in her home, on May 1, 2015. Theresa spent most of her adult life in Winchendon, MA, raising her children and working at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough, NH, until moving to Worcester in 2009 with her daughter, where she enjoyed spending time with her family on the deck or in the garden of her yard.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters and their families: Tammy Bennett, Tina Williams and Robin Scarrell, all of Worcester, MA; her granddaughter, Sarah Fisher of Jefferson City, Tennessee, Jason Williams of Keene, NH and Xzavion Youngblood of Worcester, MA. She is also survived by one sibling, Edward Courtemanche of Jaffrey, NH; nieces, a nephew and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving sister and brother-in-law Cecile and Roland Laberge, her brothers Albert and Philip Courtemanche and friends of 30 years Philip and Michelle Stoddard; they are impatiently awaiting her arrival.
Thank you to the staff UMASS Medical for the wonderful oncology care and especially, to Becky Brewster of the VNA Care Network and Hospice for their support during this difficult time. A very special thank you to Theresa's niece Betty and her husband Paul Roberts of Baltimore MD, for their generous time and continued kindness which helped to allow Theresa to continue to remain home for her care. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Per Theresa's request there will be no funeral service, but there will a mass to celebrate her life and love, to be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Winchendon, MA at a future date.
