Theresa M. (Leger) O’Day 72, of Worcester died, Monday, April 12, at home surrounded by her family.
Her husband James M. O’Day died in 1992. She leaves a son, Seamus M. O’Day of Berlin; three daughters, Patricia K. O’Day of Worcester, Kelly S. O’Day of Mansfield and Kathleen C. Nichols of Leicester; a brother, Dennis Leger of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Janet Pelkey of Nipomo, CA; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A daughter, Maureen E. O’Day, a son, John M. “Sean” O’Day; and two brothers, William J. Leger Jr. and Edward P. Leger, predeceased her.
Theresa was born in Fitchburg, daughter of William J. and Catherine (Cuff) Leger. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg.
Mr. and Mrs. O’Day owned the former Edgemere Lodge in Shrewsbury, for many years.She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 15, at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
