West Boylston
Therese B. (Provencher) Lainer of 93 Pine Arden Dr. died Thursday (Oct.10) at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of over 50 years, Marvin I. Lainer, three sons, Randall S. Lainer of Bridgewater, NJ, Mark J. Lainer of North Hollywood, CA, and Scott A. Lainer of West Boylston, a daughter, Valerie A. Berthiaume of Hubbardston, two brothers, Oscar Provencher of Worcester and Ralph Provencher of Shrewsbury, three sisters, Jeanne Ostaszewski, Alma Lefebvre and Dolores White all of Worcester, four grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nephews and nieces. A sister, Marie Butrym of Worcester predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Peter and Alma (St. Germain) Provencher. She graduated from Commerce High School.
She was the T.V. Lady at UMASS Memorial Hospital, Lake Ave. Campus in Worcester for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Worcester Club, Ridge Club in Sandwich, Mt. Pleasant Country Club and Saint Christopher's Church.
A Funeral will be held Monday (Oct.14) with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church 950 West Boylston St. Worcester. The Family will receive relatives and friends Sunday (Oct.13) from 3 to 7 at the family home, 93 Pine Arden Dr. West Boylston. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 20 Walnut St. Suite 318 Wellesley 02481 or Massachusetts General Hospital 55 Fruit St. Boston 02114
