WEST BOYLSTON - Therese Marie Trudeau, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.
Therese was born in Spencer on September 25, 1924, the youngest of 13 children born to Frederick and Emma (Tetrault) Cormier. She attended local schools and graduated from David Prouty High School. She held various jobs throughout her life, but most important to her was her role as mother to her four children. When giving her attention, she was fully immersed and present whether the game was Rummy, playing with dolls, or stacking cans in the cupboard. Even later in life, she would often play hide & seek in the back yard with her grandchildren, and always sent each one home with a small bag of jelly beans - a tradition they cherished. She exemplified what it meant to be a mother.
Therese leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Clement J. Trudeau; four children, Marc Trudeau and his wife, Tammy of West Boylston, Elise Provost and her husband, Paul of Brookfield, Jean Trudeau and his wife, Pam of Rutland and Guy Trudeau and his wife, Beth of Ham Lake, MN; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and dozens of nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is predeceased by twelve siblings.
Family and friends are invited to Therese's Life Celebration on Tuesday, August 7th from 8:00-9:45 a.m. at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston.
