Thomas D. Carmody Jr., passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 after a long illness.
He was born in Worcester on November 14, 1965 to Thomas D. Carmody Sr., and Mary (Nash) Carmody.
Tom leaves a son; two sisters, Cathy Connor of Worcester and Sharon Courtney of South Carolina and a brother, William Carmody of Worcester; three nieces and two newphews.
Tom was a graduate of Holy Name High School. He worked for many years and held many positions for the Telegram and Gazette. He also worked for the College of the Holy Cross for 17 years where he was a foreman in the Hogan Campus Center. He was also a bartender at The Red Baron and The Green Island Pub for many years.
In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching local men's softball teams. Tom also liked spending time with his friends at the American Legion Post 318 and was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams. His family would like to thank the staff of the Life Care Center of Auburn for their compassionate care provided to Tom.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 1st at St. John's Cemetery, Section St. Christopher. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name may be considered to the Life Care Center of Auburn, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501. Arrangements are in the care of the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
