Thomas E. Hunt, 80, formerly of Hopedale St. and Cranston, RI died Thursday, Sept. 23 in Beaumont Nursing Home, Westborough.

His wife, Jane L. (Cordin) Hunt died in 1986. He leaves his daughter, Robin Batchelder of Hopkinton and 2 granddaughters, Hannah and Haley Batchelder.

He was born in Plainfield, NJ son of Russell and Lois (Loizeau) Hunt and lived many years in Cranston, RI before moving to Hopedale. Mr. Hunt graduated from Brown University and the University of Rhode Island. He was a WW II Navy veteran. Mr. Hunt worked as a radiologist at Kent County Memorial Hospital before retiring.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24 in North Burial Ground, 5 Branch St., Providence, RI. There are no calling hours. A celebration of Thomas Hunt's life will be held Friday, Oct. 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Draper Place, 25 Hopedale St., Hopedale, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers Development Department, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
