WORCESTER- Thomas P. McGurn, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2022 at CareOne Millbury.

He was the husband of 19 years of the late Patricia A. (Mars) Dowd McGurn who passed away in 2005. He was born in Worcester on May 9, 1944 son of the late Walter and Florence (Mallett) McGurn. He attended local schools and following his graduation from Commerce High School, Thomas enlisted in the United States Navy to proudly serve his country. Upon discharge from the military, Tom began his career with UPS until his retirement. Thomas loved time spent with his family and enjoyed the company of his dog's over the years.

He leaves behind his step daughter, Lori E. Dowd; five siblings, Walter McGurn and his wife, Marie, Kevin McGurn and his wife, Joanne, Stephen McGurn and his wife, Barbara, Maureen Slevin and her husband, Robert and Darlene Delmore and her husband, Daniel and many nieces and nephews. Four siblings, Francis McGurn, Joan Genese, Patricia Baril and Kathryn Frykberg predeceased him as well as his buddy and beloved dog, Spike.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, April 11 at 11am in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will be private in St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
