SANDWICH/WORCESTER-Thomas E. Parsons, Sr., 80, passed away Friday, June 13 at home surrounded by his family.

He leaves his longtime companion of 20 years, Anna North with whom he lived; his loving children, Anne Marie and her husband, Charles Buhl of Oxford, Thomas and his wife, Arlene Parsons, Jr. of Paxton, Robert and his wife, Doreen Parsons of Shrewsbury, Karen Parsons of Worcester and Christine and her husband, Steven Hynes of Auburn; his sister, Anne Marie McGrail of Sandwich; ten grandchildren, Brady, Teagan, Dara and Sarah, Michael and Corey, Paul and Sean, Colleen and Ashley; his great grandson, Devin and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy and two brothers, Henry and William.

He was born in Worcester the son of Henry F. and Teresa (Noone) Parsons. Mr. Parsons was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. He worked at the U.S. Post Office and retired as Postmaster in North Oxford. He enjoyed collecting antiques, flea markets, politics and especially spending time with his family. he was also an avid Red Sox fan.

The funeral will be Thursday, June 19 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 596 Cambridge St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601 or to Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
