David J. Wright, Sr.

BOYLSTON- David J. Wright, Sr., 67, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2022 at home.

He was born in Somerville on January 28, 1955 son of Barbara (DeBlosi) Wright Flaherty and the late David W. Wright.

David attended local schools and began working in a paper mill for many years before becoming an auto mechanic. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren, working on cars, and watching wrestling. He also enjoyed spending time with his caregiver, Emily.

He leaves behind his children, Michael Wright of Leominster, Melissa Wright and William Wright, both of Winchendon and Peter Coon-Wright of Arkansas; his mother, Barbara (DeBlosi) Wright Flaherty; siblings, Bruce Wright, Elaine Shank, Leo Wright and Theresa Herbert; stepsister, Maryellen Harris; grandchildren, David, Mickey, Makayla, Westley, Dominic, Valencia, Tatianna, Marcus, Lorelai, Kiara, Kylee, Riley , Nicholas, Jordyn, Hayliegh, Aaden, Jasmine, Serenity, Sophee-Lynn and Andre; one great granddaughter, Mackenzie. 

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his son, David Wright, grandchildren, Thomas, Addy and Ana, and a brother, Daniel Wright.

Funeral services will be held privately and are in the care of Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
