WORCESTER-Tusya (Staroselsky) Sukharenko, 91, of the Belmont Street Towers community passed away Friday, April 5th in her home.
She leaves her son, Arkady Sukharenko of Latvia; a daughter, Liliya Tsurikhina and her husband, Alex of Wareham; five grandchildren, Igor, Nick, Ilya, Elina and Diana and four great-grandchildren, Sasha, Arye, Aron and Eli. Her first husband, Isaak Sukharenko; her second husband, Samuel Berezansky; three brothers, Michael, Lev and Samyon; and a sister, Maria Beylison all predeceased her. She was born in Hoyniky, Belarus, Russia and graduated from Belorussian State University in 1951.
Tusya was a Teacher of Russian Language and Literature Teacher and Librarian for many years before retiring and moving to Worcester.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8th at Noon in Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will follow in B'nai Brith Cemetery.
