AUBURN
Victoria K. (Grahn) Rydberg, 90, of Auburn died Sun., Oct. 14, in the Lutheran Home of Worcester. Her husband John Wesley Rydberg died in 1983. She leaves three children, Kenneth W. Rydberg and his wife Jeanne of Fairbanks, AK, Shirley E. Adams of Millbury and Linda M. Rydberg of Auburn; four grandchildren, Karen Hollant of W. Hartford, CT, Donna Adams of San Francisco, CA, Jay Rydberg of Bellingham, WA and Jill Lesseig of Anchorage, AK; and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved sister-in-law Evelyn Grahn who resides at the Lutheran Home, many nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Victor, Herman, Edwin and Bertil Grahn, a sister, Elin Grahn and a son-in-law, Dean Adams.
She was born at home in Millbury, daughter of Carl and Margaret (Israelsson) Grahn and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. Over the years she worked at New England Telephone Company, the Worcester Club, Svea Bakery and Helen's Bakery. She was a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and its Dorcas Society. Victoria cherished her family and her swedish heritage, and reflected it in her love of preparing food for all family gatherings.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wed., Oct. 17th at 10:00 AM in Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Tues., Oct. 16th from 4:30-7:30 PM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St., Worcester 01607 or to the Lutheran Home, 26 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
