Virginia (Kozlowski) Roche Gould

WEST BOYLSTON- Virginia A. (Kozlowski) Roche Gould, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in her home. 

 

She was predeceased by her first husband, George R. Roche who died in 1977 and her second husband, Robert D. Gould who died in 1996. 

 

She was born in Dudley on May 9, 1932 daughter of the late Veronica (Krzywicki) and Aloyious Kozlowski. She was raised in Webster and graduated from Bartlett High School before attending Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and later, Worcester State College. Virginia was employed as a register nurse for many years, having worked at the former Holden Hospital, Worcester City Hospital and Webster Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland. Mrs. Gould enjoyed spending winters in Myrtle Beach, golfing, crossword puzzles and deep-sea fishing. 

 

She leaves behind her children, Kevin R. Roche and his partner, Janice Richardson of Townsend and Maureen A. Cass and her husband, Joseph of Omaha, NE; four grandchildren, Andrew Roche, Christopher, Alex, and Benjamin Cass;  sisters, Evelyn Helpa and Sylvia Bates, both of Dudley; a sister-in-law, Barbara Kozlowski of CT; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

 

Visiting Hours are Wednesday, August 17 from 9:30-10:30am at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
