WORCESTER
Walter C. Hayes, 93, of Worcester died Wednesday, Feb. 7.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Jeannette F. (Landry) Hayes; two daughters, Donna M. Hayes of Worcester and Trista-Lee Bengtson of Holden; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was born in Dalton, son of William and Marjorie (Francis) Hayes and served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
Walter was a truck driver for Standard Automotive and Linder's Automotive, prior to that he worked for National Coal Company.
The funeral will be held on Wed., Feb. 11, at 11AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A visiting hour will be held Wed. Feb. 11, from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. www.callahanfay.com
