Walter A. Setterlund

WORCESTER

Walter A. Setterlund, 85, of 1037 West Boylston St. died Wednesday (Jan16) in UMASS Memorial Medical Center- University Campus after long illness.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Margaret R. (Valenti) Setterlund, two sons, Robert W. Setterlund of Los Angels, CA and Douglas D. Setterlund of Worcester, a daughter, Margaret Ann O'Connor of Worcester, a brother, Oscar B. Pearson of South Dennis, seven grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Theodore O. Setterlund of Worcester, Hugo Setterlund of West Boylston, and Stanely Setterlund of Shrewsbury and a sister Alice Setterlund-Smith of Rhode Island all pre-deceased him. A step-father who raised him Oscar B. Pearson of Shrewsbury also pre-deceased him. He was born in Worcester son of Axel and Annie (Monsson) Setterlund. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.

He worked at Norton Company for 35 years in the Abrasive Grinding Department retiring in 1971.

A Funeral will be held Saturday (Jan19) at 11 a.m. in Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. West Boylston. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Association
