Warren M. Rand

WEST BOYLSTON

Warren M. Rand, 82, of West Boylston died Wed. Dec.24.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Eva R. (LaComfora) Rand, a daughter, Charlene A. Weisel of Toronto, Canada; a sister, Doris M. Baehr of Hooksett, NH; two grandchildren, Ashley and Matthew and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Jean E. Morein, predeceased him. He was born in West Boylston son of Edwin and Hildur Rand and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the Submarine Service in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Rand was Vice President and General Manager of New England Telephone Company for 36 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a former member of the Telephone Workers Union.
A Graveside Service will be held Sun., Dec. 28 at 11 AM in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Odd Fellows Nursing Home, 104 Randolph Rd., Worcester, 01606.
