William H. Brown 84, of 8 Glen View Rd. died Tuesday, Dec. 16, in Life Care Center of Auburn.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, Irene E. (Swanstrom) Brown; a son, Donald W. Brown of Auburn; four sisters, Barbara Lirange of Worcester, Bernice Taylor of Pembrook Pine, FL, Beverly Pichierri and Dorothy Sterner both of Auburn; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and nieces and nephews. A daughter, Evelyn M. Weagle of No. Oxford died in 1996. He was born in Worcester, son of William H. and Evelyn D. (Forsberg) Brown.
He graduated from South High School. He was an Army Veteran of WW II.
Mr. Brown was a stock clerk for the former Johnson Steel and Wire Company for 42 years, retiring several years ago.
He was a life member of the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church and its choir, the Quinsigamond American Legion Post #318, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Morning Star Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rites Bodies of Worcester.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec.20, at 11 a.m. in the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church , 9 Stebbins St. Worcester. Burial will be private in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Quisigamond United Methodist Church 9 Stebbins St. Worcester 01607.
