WORCESTER - William (Bill) M. Cotter, 84, passed away Friday, October 29th after a short illness.
He leaves several nieces and nephews including MaryEllen A. (Peltier) Hoyt, Nancy M. Frustaci, Donna Marie Peltier and John A. Peltier all of Worcester. He leaves a brother and sister and is predeceased by two sisters among them Noreen M. Peltier to whom he was very close. He also leaves his dear friend Katherine (KK) Gates. He was born in Worcester, son of Michael and Ellen (Dennehy) Cotter, graduated from St. John's High School and served in the US Air Force.
Bill retired from the City of Worcester Street Department. He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying his single engine plane. As he got older he enjoyed boating on Lake Quinsigamond and taking care of aquariums of fish.. He was also an avid outdoorsman and proudly believed in the defense of the Second Amendment. He enjoyed the time he spent with his great-nephews Michael, Josef and Luke.
Visiting Hours are Wednesday, November 3rd from 4pm to 7pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 4th at 10am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org
