He also leaves his great delight: 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren (with more on the way!).  He leaves his two step children, Felicia Bello-Maino and husband Al and Michael Bello; 3 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. He loved them all and they will miss him dearly. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Mary and their son David; his sister, Marie Cushing and her husband Robert; and his in-laws Marjorie Mulcahy, Mike and Loretta Kittredge, and Delores DuPont.

Bill was born at home in Malden in 1929 to his parents, Kathryn (Chisholm) and Leo Mulcahy. He grew up in Malden and attended trade school while learning mechanics. He then spent his early years in the family trucking business, with his father and brothers, calling it the "Mulcahy’s Express".  Bill later married his first wife Mary Anthony, built a beautiful home and raised their family in West Boylston.

He worked many years at C&S Wholesale Grocers in Worcester, rising to Vice President in charge of warehousing. Bill pursued several business opportunities, including the sale and shipping of a giant Weyerhaeuser paper mill to a Pakistani group. He then joined his brother Ed in the truck fleet liquidation business before retiring.

Bill’s interests focused around his family and his lifelong fascination with trucks and machinery. He was known by everyone as an excellent mechanic.  Bill loved to travel and was fortunate to see Ireland, Egypt, Pakistan, Central and South America, and especially Maritime, Canada, home to his mothers family.  Bill loved to spend his free time at the beach with his family creating life long memories.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Bill's life with visiting hours on Monday, July 31st from 9:00am until 10:30am at Fay Brothers Life Cerebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston.  A funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St , West Boylston.
