Northborough - William G. Peeso, 77, passed away on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at Saint Vincent Medical Center after a courageous battle with melanoma.

Bill was born in Fitchburg on April 3, 1938 son of the late Elmer and Sylvia (Ovaska) Peeso. He grew up in Sterling. In 1956 he graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He married the love of his life, Jeanne DeSanti in 1960. Bill was drafted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. Together they lived in Sterling raising their family before moving to West Boylston, and eventually spending the last 16 years in Northborough.

Mr. Peeso was employed by Norton Company in Worcester as a Production Foreman for 35 years. While living in Sterling, he served as a volunteer Firefighter for the Sterling Fire Department. He was a member of the Greendale Men's Club. He was also a member of Our Lady of Good Council where he served on the parish council. Upon his retirement, Bill worked at the Whitetale Greenery in West Boylston, a job he truly loved. He was an avid NASCAR fan and especially enjoyed attending the races with family. He loved anything that involved spending time with his family and friends, including spending winters with his wife and their friends in Florida. Above all, Bill cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandson. His greatest joy was attending Brett's hockey games.

Besides Jeanne, his wife of 55 years; he is also survived by his son, Kenneth Peeso of Milford; daughter, Christine Reale and her husband Steven and grandson, Brett of Boylston; a brother, Richard A. Peeso and his wife Joanne of W. Boylston; a sister, Sharon Smith of Sterling; brother in-law Raymond DeSanti and his wife Ellen of West Boylston; cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Bill was also predeceased by his brother Robert A. Peeso who died in 2014.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. David Shepro and the staff of the Reliant Oncology Program. They treated him with the upmost respect and compassion. He had a very special bond with each of them.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM, on Monday February 1st at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., W.Boylston. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery. In accordance with his request, there are no public visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Reliant Foundation, 100 Front St., 6th Floor, Worcester, MA 01608
