WORCESTER: Xavier M. Sotomayor, 24, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 2 in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill.

 He leaves his parents Miguel A. and Elaine (Rosado) Sotomayor with whom he lived, two brothers; Joshua A. Spangenberg of Dudley and Angel M. Sotomayor of Worcester, two sisters; Val and Jasmine Sotomayor both of Worcester, his maternal grandmother Margarita Oquendo of Worcester, his paternal grandmother Hilda Matiaz of Virginia, and his longtime girlfriend Jessalyn LaFlash of Worcester.

 Xavier was born in Worcester and graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School. He was an assessor for Roto-Rooter in the recent past. He enjoyed video gaming, spending time with his family. He was very curious about science fiction . He was always helping people and in his teenage years was very active with community outreach programs. Xavier was the most caring person. He was fearless strong but gentle. He was always himself singing and dancing to 90s R&B music, he was playful and loved to make people laugh. His favorite food was pizza and his favorite color was maroon.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 10th from 5:00-7:00 PM in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A funeral service will be held on. Thursday July 11th at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.
