SHIRLEY: Zdravko Djordjevic, 71, a devoted father, lifelong soccer enthusiast, and lover of all things with four wheels, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, after an illness. His beloved wife, Rebecca R. (Greene) Djordjevic, passed away in 2023.

Born in Bitola, Yugoslavia, Zdravko immigrated to the United States with his parents, Trifun & Zorka (Kuzmanova) Djordjevic, on the final voyage of the SS United States. Soon after arriving, the family purchased multiple multi-unit buildings in the city and planted their roots. Zdravko’s entrepreneurial spirit came alive when he opened his first auto repair and sales business — an industry he loved and remained dedicated to for the rest of his life.

Zdravko had an engineer’s mind and a spontaneous heart. Whether under the hood of a car, training his racing pigeons with unmatched precision, or planning the next adventure, he approached everything with curiosity and passion. His love for history fueled countless spirited debates, and his magnetic personality ensured he was always at the center of any gathering.

Outside of work, Zdravko found joy in his birds, a passion he nurtured since childhood, and in the thrill of auto racing. Above all, he was compassionate, generous with his time, and always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his beloved sons, Robert and his wife, Reine and Stefan, who carry forward his adventurous spirit, work ethic, and love of life. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Charbel and Yasmina Djordjevic; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Milica Kostantinov and Divna Gorgievski.

Zdravko’s life was one of motion, discovery, and connection — and those who knew him will forever remember the way he could make a room come alive.
